At ZUTOMO, we view the investment you make in your dedicated Digital Product Selling Website not as an expense, but as a strategic asset for your business growth. We are confident in the quality, professionalism, and profitability of the commerce platforms we engineer. This policy is designed to be fair, transparent, and reflective of the custom nature of the specialized service we provide.
1. Website Development Service (Platform Build Fee)
The fee for our core service covers the comprehensive planning, design, setup, and delivery of a fully-functional, ready-to-launch digital product selling website (e-commerce storefront). This is a custom, resource-intensive service, and our refund policy is structured around the two critical phases of our work:
Phase 1: Planning and Discovery (Full Refund Eligible)
Definition: This phase includes the initial consultation, signing of the service agreement, payment processing, and the delivery of the Initial Design Mockup/Wireframe and the Project Scope Document to you.
Refund Eligibility: You are eligible for a full refund of the platform build fee if you submit a cancellation request before you provide written approval of the Initial Design Mockup or the Project Scope Document. We honor this early cancellation window, recognizing that creators’ business priorities can shift rapidly.
Phase 2: Development and Build (No Refund Eligible)
Definition: This critical phase begins the moment you provide written approval (via email) of the Initial Design Mockup and/or the Project Scope Document. This triggers our development team to purchase necessary proprietary assets (themes, plugins) and immediately allocate expert resources for coding, integration, and final site delivery.
Refund Eligibility: No refunds will be issued once Phase 2 (Development and Build) has commenced. By approving the scope, you confirm your acceptance of the project direction, and we commit non-recoverable resources to deliver your final product.
2. Strategic Consultancy Services
Our high-value Product Development and Business Scalability Consultancy services (e.g., Productization Sprints, Launch Strategy sessions) are charged separately and are based on the delivery of our time, specialized expertise, customized market analysis, and proprietary strategy documentation.
Refund Policy: All fees paid for Strategic Consultancy Services are non-refundable.
Justification: Our value is delivered through intellectual property and specialized knowledge transfer. Once our custom strategic plans and analysis have been shared, the service is deemed fully rendered.
3. Ownership and Returns (The Core ZUTOMO Advantage)
Since ZUTOMO delivers a digital, custom-built service, there are no “returns” in the physical sense. Our policy is centered on the principle of unrestricted ownership:
Full Ownership: Upon final payment and successful delivery, you receive 100% complete ownership of your digital storefront, including all domain registration, hosting account credentials, underlying code, site content, and collected customer data.
No Lock-in: You are never locked into our services. The platforms we build utilize industry-standard, scalable technologies, allowing you to transition your maintenance or hosting to any provider you choose without penalty or complication.
Correction of Errors: ZUTOMO guarantees that the final delivered platform will meet every specific functional requirement and feature outlined in the approved Project Scope Document. If the final delivery deviates from this agreed-upon scope, we commit to fixing the error immediately at no additional cost to you.
